Almost two years to be exact. Pardon my absence ;). I just got busy with new businesses ;). I will be talking about that on my other upcoming post.

But for now... that we have a New President and we're seeing changes, I think it's time to do some change as well.
The Truly Rich Club GOLD Mastermind is a new program of Bro. Bo Sanchez for the Truly Rich Club Members. It started aftere the Wealth Summit last February 2014.

The Truly Rich Club GOLD Mastermind is a quarterly event EXCLUSIVE for Truly Rich Club members ONLY. It is a half-day event of learning and bonding with other TRC Members.

To date, there were already three (3) mastermind sessions that had happened. But it is only our (me and my husband) first time to attend because of some conflicts with our schedules.

According to Bro. Bo as well as the other Truly Rich Club members who have been attending the previous masterminds, each Mastermind is different. Each session, Truly Rich Club Platinum Members and other mentors are taking the stage and sharing ideas on how we can create multiple income streams.

For the Mastemind last Sunday, we're able to learn from Vera dela Cruz, TJ Manotoc, Bro. Bo Sanchez and Jay Paul Hernandez.

Below are the things that I had noted during their sharing:

VERA DELA CRUZ
Events Organizer/Planner of Whitekraft Events Solution
27yo :)

1. Obedience to Parents = God's reward.
> From the start, she wanted to be an events organizer but her parents wanted her to become a nurse. She obeyed her parents. She graduated as a nurse. Worked for 4 years as a nurse. Then, resigned and pursued her dream. Her journey as a nurse was not put to waste because a lot of her clients today are her colleagues, friends, classmates and doctors from the hospital where she worked from.

2. Keep on Dreaming. Have a Vision.
V - isualize it
I - nternalize it
S - speak about it
I - nitiate it (take the 1st step)
O - wn it
N - urture it and TRUST GOD

TJ MANOTOC
Tag Line: Switch Brand. Save Lives.

1. What is Social Entrepreneurship?
Social entrepreneurship is the field in which entrepreneurs tailor their activities to be directly tied with the ultimate goal of creating social value.

2. Why a need for Social Entrepreneurship? Donor Fatigue

3. Product of Necessity vs. Product of Choice. The former is better.

4. SWITCH to SAVE Products to date: Angel's Secret Sanitary Napkin, CleanAll Soaps.
Why Napkin? 70% of Payatas Trash are napkins and diapers. Angel's Secret napkins are biodegrable.

1. PASSION is like looking for a perfect shoe. It should suit your style, your taste, must fit well and must be comfortable.
2. Don't live day to day.
3. Live for something bigger than yourself.
4. The Best is yet to come.

After the talk, the attendees were divided into 10 groups. Each group was facilitated by a Truly Rich Club Platinum member. They are not being paid for this but it is their way of giving back. It was a great experience. We're able to know our mentors more and able to meet and greet other TRC members. In our group, we've learned that many of us have similar passions (writing, events organizing, music, etc.). We become instant friends. We actually all agreed to have an FB group where we could exchange questions and ideas. It was indeed a fun learning experience for us.

In summary, we learned a lot from this mastermind and we believe that there are a lot of things that we could still learn if we continue to attend the quarterly mastermind. We hope that you could also join us.

Sorry for being MIA again in this blog. I don't want to make any excuses. :) Practicing "NO EXCUSES Management". ;)

Anyway, this is my second time attending the Money Summit. I attended last 2010. Review of the summit for that year can be found here.

I was blessed enough to be able to attend the Money Summit and Wealth Expo 2014 for FREE. It was indeed a BIG Blessing. I was thinking of attending the summit months before but never take any action. I just keep on asking people if they will attend the summit. Unluckily, friends I wanna go with was not going and it made me think of attending as well. Call it lame excuse and procrastination. But maybe nothing just happen. OR should I call it "LAW of ATTRACTION".

Few days before the summit, a friend of mine who is also a speaker in the summit ask me if I wan't to attend the summit because she has 1 more available slot for her delegates. And who am I to say no to such a good offer. It was an answered prayer.

Prior to the event, I can't make up my mind if I want to attend stock market and real estate investing because I am doing both. I want to attend both but I can't because they are happening at the same time.I need to select the classes I would attend. But on the day of the event, I got surprised when the ID Badge given to us as delegates were VIP. It was a JACKPOT because paying for such option would cost me Php20,000. Dilemna solved. And so, I attended the Stock Market Investing classes in the Morning and Real Estate Classes in the Afternoon. And I would say, I learned a lot. It empowered and inspired me again. It puts me back on track from my hibernation.
This post is dedicated to all parents out there but if you're not a parent and you still haven't invested in the stock market, this is also for you.

This is part II because part I is for my eldest child. I was able to open a stock account for her at age 3. Part II is about our second child. We were also able to open a stock account for him. He also started early. He is not 3 years old. Not 2 years old. Or not even 1 year old. We're able to open an account for him when he was 2 months old. It was after his baptismal. We used the money gifts he got from his baptismal to open an account. Thanks to all the generous givers. :)

The same with our daughter, our son's account is intended for his college education but in case, we can manage not to touch this investment, He will also be a Billionaire before he reach 70. And since my son opened earlier than my daughter, will he be richer than her ate? We don't know. But we need to ensure that they will be Truly Rich. They need to know the true purpose of wealth which is to help and love others.

I posted this not to brag but to inspire you to start investing in the start market. The BEST TIME to start is NOW. You see SALE everywhere, even at the stock market.

Cheers to our Financial Freedom!!!
2014 will be better than 2013. This I claim in Jesus name.

It's the 10th day of the 1st month of 2014. So far everything is doing good. And I believe, the best is yet to come.

Our 2013 was so blessed and based on the Year-End review that my husband and I did 2 days before the year end, most of the goals we set Last Dec. 1,2012 were met. This also inspire us to continue doing our yearly strategic meeting. On that same day, we also did our 2014 goal setting. And we agreed that we will do our best to meet our goal but we also need to learn to let go and let GOD do the rest esp. if things are not going our way.

One message I can share to inspire you which I got from Bro. Bo from the Feast PICC, is to remember that "Sometimes, when things are falling apart, that means things are falling into place."

By the way, if you haven't set your goals for 2014, it's not yet too late. Just start making it now and see what happens next.

May we all have a prosperous 2014.

My husband and I attended this seminar last Saturday. Our primary reason is to be guided by the "PROs" in improving the business that I just recently started and the business that we plan to start next year.

Attending this seminar is one of the best things that we did before the end of the year. There will be more even though there are only few days before the year ends because we believe that successful people have a bias for action and we want to be one of them. Why plan for success at the beginning of the year when you can do it before the year ends and start immediately on DAY1 of 2014.

By the way, one of the reason that we attended this seminar is to support the cause of the organizer of this event which is SHARE MOVEMENT.

Shown below are the points that I learned and noted and will take into action.

From Marco (PART1)
1. Business is for Everybody
2. Before going into business... Find your business "WHY"
3. Attitude and Mindset of Entrepreneur
a. Aggressive Action
= Aggressive + Action Doer
= Look out for needs and Demands of People
= Don't just look at the present.. look at the future. (Example based on the recent Yolanda Tragedy. Think of the Ice Plant instead of Body Bag).
b. JUST DO IT.
= The enemy of Action is FEAR.
c. NEVER GIVE UP
= People will doubt you but just keep on moving and never give up.
d. BE OPTIMISTIC
= Set Target. Set Goal. WRITE IT.
= " I can do it, I don't know when but I CAN DO IT.
e. WATCHFUL of OPPORTUNITIES
= Opportunities are always under your Nose. If your head is always up, you will not see it.
= Be careful of MLM, ensure that products will continue to be there in the future. (See 3.a)
= Be careful of getting a Franchise, ensure that the franchise you're investing in has a GOOD SUPPORT System.
f. RESOURCEFULNESS
= Enemy of Overhead
= Keep on Asking to Get the Best Deal.
g. HUMILITY
= Find a Business Mentor
= Having a mentor is not easy. It is hard but it will teach you humility.
4. OVERCOME FEAR else you'll be
a. Scared to Risk
b. Lazy to Start
5. The primary difference between rich people and poor people is how they handle fear. ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Indeed, it was a great seminar. We exceeded the time but the attendees didn't mind and stayed even until the seminar ends. I already heard/read some of the information before but it is more empowering to hear if from those who is already walking their talk. We learned from their mistakes. We also learned techniques and new ways to improve my new business.

The Seminar is a must for those who are already into business and also to those who are still to start a business. It will help them start right.

I will highly recommend this seminar!!!

In Summary:
Price: Php 500 only (Knowing that all proceeds of the seminar will be donated to Joseph Feeding Mission make it priceless. Also, kudos to the speakers who selflessly shared their experiences for free. May God bless your business more.)
Pardon me for being MIA in this blog for a long time. A lot on things happened in last few months. Some of the good and not so good things that happened to me are shown below:
3. My Eldest start going to school.
4. Experienced post partum depression :(

I may had my downs but I am still fighting the negativity around and attended Kerygma Conference 2013. True enough, we were blessed by the Conference. We learned a lot and got empowered.
I was reading a newspaper in a coffee shop and this article in Philippine Daily Inquirer caught my attention. This is an exciting news especially for investors like me. Check it out.

Local stocks are expected to scale new heights this week as investors weigh in thei mpact of the investment grade rating issued by Fitch shortly before the long Lenten break.

Last week, the main-share Philippine Stock Exchange Commission gained 328.76 point, or 5%, to close at 6,847.47 on Wednesday. The market was closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Holy Week.

Jose Vistan of AB Capital Securities, said the main index would attempt to breach 7,000 this week.

"Trading will be upbeat as the Fitch upgrade was announced before the long holiday break," Vistan said.

On Wednesday Fitch announced the upgrade of the Philippines' Long-Term (IDR) to "BBB-" from "BB+" with a stable outlook, lifting the Philippine debt grade out of "junk" status for the 1st time in history.

This immediately triggered a new wave of buying at the stock market during the last hour of trade.

"Chartwise the week's close at 6,847.47 implies further tests toward the 6,900-7,000 levels," Jonathan Ravelas of Banco de Oro Unibank. But failure to test those levels could prompt some profit-taking toward the 6,575 to 6,600 levels, he added.

Year-to-date, the PSEi has rallied by 17.8% or 1,034.74 points. The main index has also logged a total of 24 record closing highs since the start of the year.

"We are now officially an investment grade country.... and this is an achievement that we all should be proud of," PSE president Hans Sicat said. "Hopefully, the othe rating agencies will follow suit so we can start seeing more investors participate in the growth of the listed companies and the economy."

Our dream is for the Stock Market to be at 10,000 level and with the thing that is happening this is close to reality. May all of us be part of this history.
Bo is sending to all the TrulyRichClub Members. But when I read one research done by COL's Analyst on BDO, I got interested and added it in our portfolio. We've been buying BDO since last year but I stopped for some time. This is after I had a little discussion with Mr. Edward Lee of COL Financial last October during the TrulyRichClub Superconference. I stopped buying BDO stock but I didn't sell.

For the past few months, the stock market is going up. It had hit ALL-TIME Record Highs. Last month Bro. Bo sent an Stock Alert on adding DNL in our portfolio. The expected gain is quite high and I was thinking of selling our BDO shares to take advantage of this gain. Besides, BDO is not part of our SAM list.

However, there was a slight correction last week in the stock market and I forgot about selling. Then this morning, we received an Stock Alert from Bro. Bo. We are now adding BDO in our SAM list. Whooo. Saved by the Stock Alert! There is still a lot of room to grow on this stock. Nothing just happen. :)
By the way, the StockAlert is one of the Perks that a person gets in being a member of the TrulyRichClub. The StockUpdates are emailed twice a month while StockAlerts are emailed depending on the need. This serves as a guide for TrulyRichClub members who are invested in the Stock Market using the SAM strategy. To know more of the SAM strategy, you can read the Book of Bro. Bo entitled "The Turtle Always Win". Bo Sanchez and Mike Viñas.

I would just like to share some parts of the Stock Update with you.

DON'T INTERRUPT THE COMPOUNDING
If You Withdraw P50,000 Today, You’re Withdrawing P1 Million Tomorrow.

Oh, I know it’s tempting.

When the stock market is growing sweetly (like now), it’s sooooo tempting to withdraw “just a little bit” for

that new ladies’ watch. Or a Hong Kong vacation. Or a birthday party in Boracay.

As much as possible, DON’T.

If you withdraw, you’re interrupting your compounding—the greatest mathematical force in the universe.

Let me give you an example…

Johnny saw that in a span of 18 months, his stock market fund has already grown from P100,000 to P150,000.

He’s ecstatic. He’s thanking God. He’s inviting friends to join him at the TrulyRich Club. (Very good!) He’s

dancing the gangnam dance.

But then one day, while walking in a mall, Johnny sees this really nice “spaceship-looking” gizmo that

functions as a cellphone/coffeemaker/vacuum cleaner all rolled into one. It can make phone calls. It can make

coffee. It can clean your house. It’s astounding. (Okay, I’m exaggerating. But I’m simply saying that there’ll be

temptations out there that are very real.)

The price? P50,000.

Definitely not in Johnny’s budget. Unless…

He thinks of his stock market investments.

He’s got the money.

He decides to go for it!

He withdraws P50,000 from his stocks and buys the gizmo. He can now talk to his girlfriend and make

coffee and suck dust from the living room’s carpet.

Question: Did he really withdraw P50,000 only?

Nope.

In 20 years, if his stock market investments grew by 16 percent a year, his total money would be LESSER

by P1 Million.

Why? Because he interrupted the compounding.

I’m not kidding. Compute it yourself.

I urge you: Avoid withdrawing from your stock market investments.

If you feel tempted, just remind yourself: “When I withdraw P50,000 today, I’m actually withdrawing P1

Million tomorrow.”

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

This is just the 1st part of the stock update. The second part is an update from Mike. The title of his article is "Stock Market Success Does Not Require Market Timing". He said that it is possible to make good money in the market without having to consider timing by following the Four (4) Strategies below:

1. Use Long Term Money - Invest only the money that you will not need in the near future.
2. Buy Regularly at Buy Below Price - Buy every month or every quarter but ensure that it is at our Buy Below Price.
3. Use Peso Cost Averaging - buying shares with a fixed amount of money on a regular basis (as mentioned in # 2). The advantage to this strategy is that it makes investing more affordable and it takes emotions out of investing.
4. Add Some Stocks with High Dividend Yield - Choose stocks whose earnings are not expected to drop and have capital appreciation potential. In our case it is MER. It's dividend yield of 3%.

Mike also discussed more news and details on MER and DNL to explain why these stocks were chosen to be in our SAM list.

Aside from the 2 articles of Bro. Bo and Mike, they are also sending an updated list of our SAM table for the BUY Below Price, TARGET Price and Action to TAKE in case there are changes.

By the way, the STOCK Market today is so exciting. It is having a slight correction. As investors, we like it when stocks go down so that we can all buy at cheaper price. But no one knows the market and to be safe, better to START NOW and follow the 4 strategies given by Mike or better yet be more educated and get REAL-TIME Stock Alerts from Bro. Bo by joining the TrulyRichClub.
We've been a member of the TrulyRichClub since February of 2010 and all I can say is that everything was all worth it. It is true that how we wished that we had started earlier but it was never too late because the best time to start is always "NOW". We still have a long way to go. Only less than 1% of our population is invested in the Stock Market. And everyone seems to recognize the opportunity. Come. Ride with us now. Don't just be an Audience. Be a Passenger or rather be the Driver of your Great Future. :)
It is a timely talk because we're still at the first quarter of the year. It can help us get a direction on how we want our finances to be at the end of the year.

We've been a feast attendee since February 2010 and we noticed that we have almost the same theme every February which is about handling our finances well. Below are the talk series for the last few years:

2010 - Prosper
2011- Peso-nality
2012 - Overflow
2013 - Happy Healthy Holy Money

Let me just share to you some of the things I learned from the recent Talk Series.

Talk# 1: Happy Money

"Every good and perfect gift is from God. It comes down from the Father." ~James 1:17

Our money is a gift from God. If this is a gift from God, then it can be a good thing. Money is not evil but it is the LOVE of MONEY that is evil.

"Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." ~ Psalms 35:27

God doesn't mind us becoming rich. Actually, he wants us to be rich in a condition that we are are already RICH in the INSIDE before we become RICH in the OUTSIDE. This is because money can MAGNIFY who we are in the INSIDE.

Bro. Bo also mentioned the Three (3) Types of Rich People.

1. Filthy Rich
- This is the greedy, selfish, corrupt person.
- They are the miserable people.
- They are the reason why others say that "Money can't buy you happiness.

2. Guilty Rich
- This is a person who had a toxic relationship with money.
- They are the people who feel guilty of earning a lot. They are more comfortable with poverty than prosperity.
- These are the people guilty of being rich because of their past experiences or family influence.
- They were taught that talking and thinking about money is bad. And all rich people are bad.

3. Truly Rich
- These are the people who believe that "God never designed money to buy happiness. God designed money to increase HELPFULNESS."
- Truly Rich People Help Their Family
- Truly Rich People Help Their Bigger Family
- Belief of the Truly Rich People: "It’s not about the money. It’s not about the wealth. It’s not even about us! It’s about God. It’s about love. It’s about service. It’s about dying to ourselves so that others may live!"

Let us all be TRULY RICH.:)

Talk#2: Healthy Money

"Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do." ~ Deuteronomy 29:9

True prosperity is living a life of profound LOVE for every human being.

Physical Health is similar to Financial Health in terms of the cause of its weakening which are:

1. Toxins

2. Malnutrition

3. Imbalance

Financial Toxins

- Financial Toxic Overload / Toxic Debt

* Uncontrolled Debt can kill us.

* If there are Filthy Rich, there are also Filthy Poor who are destroyed by the money they don't possess. Because of their overwhelming desire for material things, they borrow, borrow, and borrow.

* The key is PATIENCE. Don’t be in a hurry to live a lifestyle that you can’t afford.

* THE problem isn't materialism. THE problem is an extreme lack of self-worth.

* Follow the 1st Rule of the Rich - "What You Spend Should Be Less Then What You Earn.”

Malnutrition

- People who look rich because they have money in the bank but are dying because their money are shrinking.

* Follow the 2nd Rule of the Rich - “What You Save Should Grow More Than What You Lose.”

- Our Money loses value in the bank because of Inflation. Therefore, we should invest our money in any of these Investment Vehicles: (1) Paper Assets, (2) Businesses and (3) Real Estate.
- An example of Paper Asset is the Stock Market. If you want to learn more about investing in the Stock Market, try reading the books of Bro. Bo Sanchez (My Maid Invest in the Stock Market and The Turtle always Win) or Join the Truly Rich Club.

Imbalance
* Follow the 3rd Rule of the Rich - "“What You Earn Should Be Equal To What You Know.”
- Do NOT try to earn more than what you know! Confidence is a terrific thing. Overconfidence is a terrible thing.
- Lower our risk by increasing our learning or increasing our wisdom.
- We need to invest in our Financial Education. (If we think Financial Education is expensive, try IGNORANCE).

Talk# 3: Holy Money

Can Money be Sacred? What does Holy means? Many thought that Holy = Religious. But Bro. Bo said that the Greek word for Holy is Hagios which literally means "set apart for God". We already know that God is Love. Therefore, to set apart for God also means to set apart for LOVE.

If we want to know if our money is holy , we need to recognize the two important signs of HOLY MONEY.

Sign#1 : If the Purpose of Money is LOVE.
- If we give, it should be out of love. If we tithe, it should be out of love.
- We all have moral duty to give. We all have moral duty to be Truly Rich.

Sign#2 : If the Process of Money is LOVE.

- How did we earn our money?

- According to Bro. Bo, we need to always ask ourselves, "In the process of making money, did I become more loving? patient? sacrificial? selfless?

If all our answers are "YES", then our money is HOLY, as well as our job, business and investments.

Bro. Bo ended the talk saying that Wealth's mission is to love others and it wants to find its way into the hands of loving people who will earn and use it for LOVE. He encourages us to be THAT PERSON of GREAT LOVE.

Talk# 4: Bonus Talk

According to Bro. Bo, if we want to change our Financial Life, we need to change our underlying Financial Behavior and Financial System.

Our Financial System is consists of our thoughts, behavior and verbal pattern which normally is influenced by our family. Our Financial system can either break or make us. He said, that there are only 2 financial system in this world namely the Hunter and Rancher System.

The Hunter System/Cycle
1. A hunter goes out of his cave when he's hungry to find food to eat.
2. Party with family and friends when he finds a catch.
3. When the meat is gone and he's hungry again, he goes out to hunt for another animal.

Hunters can be employees or entrepreneurs. No matter how big their incomes are, they would be times that it will be gone. And they would be forced to go out and hunt again.

The Rancher System
1. Rancher don't eat everything they capture.
2. They keep some to breed other animals.
3. Ranchers will always have food to eat because they grow their own food.

Their difference????
If a hunter takes a vacation and stop working, he stops eating;
If a rancher takes a vacation and stop working, he'll continue to eat because his animals continues to multiply on their own.

Bro. Bo suggested a system to acquire the Rancher system called the " Seven Jar Strategy". Every time we receive our salary/commission/profit, divide our money into these 7 jars.

The Seven (7) Jar Strategy

Jar 7: Emancipation Fund (20% or More)
- For Retirement.
- Others call it Freedom Fund.
- You can invest it in Paper Assets like Stocks, or Real Estate or in a Business.
- This will make us a rancher.

Jar 6: Emergency Fund
- For Emergencies like leaking roof, car repairs, sickness, etc.
- Should be equal to 3 to 6 months of your salary
- Keep in a bank for easy access/liquidity.
- The older you get, the bigger it should be.

Jar 5: Everyday Fund (70% or Less)
- For regular monthly expense
- Live simply to live within this range.
- If your income increases, your everyday fund should decrease.

Jar 4: Empower Fund (5% to 10%)
- For short term savings like saving for a house downpayment, a car, a new laptop, a new gadget, a trip, etc

Jar 3: Enjoyment Fund (5%)
- For our enjoyment because God wants us to enjoy life.
*** 1 Timothy 6:17 " ... put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
- The enjoyment fund is for our wants. This fund is needed to avoid being an impulsive buyer or a miser/penny pincher.

Jar 2: Education Fund (5%)
- Invest in ourselves. If we grow ourselves, we grow our wealth.
- We need to be teachable. We need to be a student and be teachable. Humility is the key.

Jar# 1 Eternity Fund (10% or more)
- For our Tithe - our ultimate investment with the greatest return.
- This is our long-term investment. God will always remember whatever we give to Him and will reward us accordingly for all eternity.
- It is the safest investment because because it is like shipping our investment in heaven..
- Every time you receive your salary, set aside your tithe and see how God will supply your every need.
- When we tithe, we acknowledge that everything we own really belongs to God.

He emphasize that we should be a Rancher , not a Hunter. Before he ends his talk, he repeated the story of the Rich Man and the Beggar which he told last year. The full version of the story here.

Hope I was able to share the inspiring words from Bro. Bo. Let's work together towards our financial freedom.

May All our Dreams Come true! :)
He is a Licensed Stock Broker of Eagle Equities Inc.

According to the article, many are confused on what is happening in the stock market. Many were expecting a correction but it never got sustained. Prices will be low in a few days but it will rise again and outperformed the previous weeks. Whether the prices will go down soon will only depend on the kind of buyers. It will not go down if they are taken by the "long-term buyers". However, prices will go down if they are taken by the "short term buyers" or speculators.

Below is what I have noted from his article:

BULL RUN
> Series of price movements.
> It is prolonged and characterized by daily gains.

> It is the period where there is a run of stock prices.

BULL MARKET
> It is characterized by a sustained rise of share prices.
> It happens when the the economy is strong, people have money and are willing to spend it. Demand becomes stronger. Market prices go up.

> It is the time frame at which such price run happens.

Another information I have noted is "If the daily price increases are sustained for at least 5 trading days, the stock, sector or index could be in a run." If the run is the result of rising prices, it is called a rally, a BULL RALLY.

It was such a great and informative article. Hope you get something from what I've shared.

~ May our dreams come true. Cheers to PSEi being at 10,000 soon! :)
For our US account, we had use Smith Barney, UBS and ETRADE. For our account here in the Philippines, we had started with BPI TRADE then added Citisec Online (now known as COL Financial) because of the EIP* strategy that they are offering. I never let go of BPI TRADE because the time I opened an account in COL, some of my stocks in BPI TRADE are having paper loses.

Right now, I still maintain some of my stocks in BPI TRADE but I add up to our investments in our COL account. Just today, I was reminded to check on my stocks in BPI TRADE and surprised that I can't get through. Then I found that they migrated to a new URL Login Page. I also found out that they had upgraded their site which is almost similar to the pages and infos that can be seen in COL Financials.

Their landing page after you log in is far better than before and they already have new tabs with very informative drop down menus. The upgrade that I appreciated the most is the "View Porfolio". Previously, when you view your portfolio you can only see your position and would not know whether you gaining or losing. This view option was already present in the COL website ever since I opened an account from them.

I am still a loyal client of COL Financials but I would still want to congratulate BPI TRADE for this a great improvement. Thank you for keeping up with the competition. There are are still a lot of Filipinos that needs to know the advantage of investing in the stock market. We're just a few years for PSEi to reach 10,000. :)
Yours truly was again given an opportunity to serve in the TRP Wealth Seminar last Saturday. My husband was in the technical while I was the timekeeper. We also facilitated during the Cash Flow 101 Board Game.

There were two new speakers namely Leila Hernandez, Author of the 9 to 5 Millionaire Book and Edmund Lee, Research Analyst of COL Financials.

Below are the lessons I have learned and Noted from the speakers:

1. Bro. Bo Sanchez ( The Theology of Money)
• Our Financial Life can be divided into 3 phases:
o Phase 1: Desert Experience (Not Enough)
o Phase 2: Desert with Manna Experience (Just Enough)
This is addicting but never gets addicted to it. We need to learn how to move to the next phase.
o Phase 3: Promised Land Experience (More than Enough)
• Money is everywhere. The Purpose of Wealth is to help others.
• Value your Financial Education. Free is not good. “Kailangan may taya”.

2. Sir Larry Gamboa ( Scaling up your Real Estate Start Up)
• Action brings clarity.
• Make your 1st step.

3. Eden Dayrit Alemania (4Fs – FIND it, Fund it, Fix it, Flip it)
• Accumulate More properties for passive income
• If you are jobless, you need a co-borrower for a bank loan.

4. Ronald Cagape (Numbers in Real Estate)
• When still starting and still building capital, do buy and sell.
• If with available capital, buy an income generating property.
• Remember that you make a profit when you buy.

5. Edmund Lee (Investing in Real Estate through the Stock Market)
• Investing is a need – For Retirement and to beat Inflation
• The key in choosing a stock is Management (CEO).
• Currently, stocks of Real Estate Companies are not yet bullish.
• Tip: The Next Walmart - Puregold ;)

6. Leila Hernandez (9 to 5 Millionaire – A Real Estate Start up)
• If you invest in paper assets, you are like a Virtual Business Owner
• Loan Refinancing have an added cost but can be waived depending on our relationship with our banks.
• It is not advisable to invest in a lot that you will use for your dream house in the future. Better to invest the money in an instrument that can give you a high gain then buy your dream house in the future in CASH,
• Her advise:
o Hold on to your current job and do your best
o Do your investing after work (weekends).
• The key is Discipline and Integrity.

Being a servant in the TRP seminar for almost 2 years really changed my life. Every now and then, there are new things to be learned. I learned by serving. Indeed, every seminar is different not only because of the topics discussed and new speakers but also because of the people I meet. It also gave me a feeling of fulfillment knowing that I was able to be part of the TRP vision of creating millions of Filipinos by 2020.

I also want to quote Sir Larry on One of the Secrets of the Winners is their Commitment to Mastery. Keep on learning. Invest in your financial education. If you think Financial Education is Expensive, Try Ignorance. ;)

I hope to see you in the Next TRP seminar on April 06,2013. I am not sure if I can still serve that time because it will be just few days before I give birth to our latest blessing.

May our Dreams Come True!
You Volunteered or You were Volunteered? This question came into my mind when I was invited by Dr. Larry Gamboa Author of Think Rich Pinoy Book to give a Testimony on Real Estate and Stock Market last Monday May 14,2012 to the Retirees of La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. The Seminar is entitled " Life After CSB" which has four parts:

Part 1: Monday morning "Managing Change and its Challenges on Time and Life.”
Part 2: Monday afternoon “Managing Financial Opportunities for a Better Life”
Part 3: Tuesday morning “Exploring Business Opportunities and Employment in the Corporate World”
Part 4: Tuesday afternoon is specifically only for the retirees.

I was honored and blessed to be able to meet these great people. Actually, I was thinking that our audience would be of the retiring age of 65 years old but there were also young faces in the group. I learned that "VERO" or Voluntary Early Retirement Offer was offered to the CSB employees and the attendees were those who availed. They will be receiving a good package. I also remembered that such thing was also offered by my previous employer when they needed to do some cost cutting measures but they named it differently - RIF or Reduction in Force.

But what is supposed to be the meaning of Retirement?
As per Wikipedia, Retirement is the point where a person stops employment completely. A person may also semi-retire by reducing work hours. Many people choose to retire when they are eligible for private or public pension benefits, although some are forced to retire when physical conditions don't allow the person to work any more (by illness or accident) or as a result of legislation concerning their position.

Whatever the purpose of the retirees in availing the VERO it is good to know that CSB made an effort to prepare them for the "Life After CSB". The speaker of the first part of the seminar was the CSB HRD Manager. He discussed the "Who Moved my Cheese" Book and it was so relevant to the theme of the seminar.

The speakers for the 2nd part of the seminar was Aya Laraya of Pesos and Sense. He talked about the advantage of Investing in the Stock Market. I have heard Aya talked for many times already but there is always something that I learn whenever I got to listen to him. It was also a blessing to be able to discuss stock market with him and get tips on his preferred companies - MPI, MWC and the three major Banks.

My testimony was after Aya. I shared about the advantage of investing in both Real Estate and Stock Market. My sharing focused on my two Real Estate deals and Stock Market Performance from the Year I started investing in the Stock Market to present.

Sir Larry spoke after me and he discussed How to be become a MAVEN. He inspired the group to find their passion and monetize it. They can use it to generate income after CSB.

The response of the audience was overwhelming. They appreciated our sharings.

It was also a blessing to meet Dean Pax Lapid of GoNegosyo and be able to discuss Stock Trading with him. He recommends to have two Citisec Account. One intended for Long Term Investment and one for Trading. He advised me to only invest less than 1/3 of the amount I have in my account intended for long term. He mentioned that he preferred Holding companies specifically DMCI.

It was truly an overwhelming and a different experience especially thinking that you were able to share my experience to these people. I am greatly honored and thankful to Sir Larry for inviting me to give a testimony to the people of CSB. Thank you also CSB for the tokens below :)
It's been a while since I posted in this blog. I will try to post more in the succeeding days :)

It was just that I am very excited to blog above my daughter's earning because it is an evidence of how powerful the Stock Market is in terms of investment. You can view my post about opening a COL Account for my 3yo daughter who is now 4yo in this link.

Initially, we planned of investing a fixed amount every month in her account but due to some changes in plan, we're not able to religiously do it. But still based on our records, we're able to add in her account 15 times in less than a year. And I am happy to report that she already gained an overall of 36% after Market closed today February 6 following Bro. Bo Sanchez advise to the Truly Rich Club Members.

My daughter's account have only four companies in her Portfolio and all of them are positive. Percent gain ranges from 4.4% to 30.74%.

Her Total Account Equity Value is not much right now but if we stick to our plan of adding up to her account whenever we have windfalls, I know we can get there. As the saying goes, "DREAM BIG. START SMALL."

By the way, we have a son who'll be seeing the beauty of the world mid of this year and we plan to open an account for him before the year ends.

It pays to be early. Just take a look at the illustration below. It only shows that if you Start Early, you can Be a Billionaire in the Stock Market.

I accidentally got into the Manila Bulletin website and read about the Lotto Winner who spent P14M in just 3 months. I can't blaim the guy because he is not an isolated case. There are a lot of them. The question is why they end up with nothing after having a huge amount of money.

From the books I read, they were saying that the problem is internal. It has something to do with their past experiences, wrong beliefs and psychological wallet.

Our family plays a big part in our attitude towards money. It could be good or bad. Too much frugality in the family can produce a child with overspending attitude because of the feeling of deprivation during her younger years. Other examples of how our past experiences affect our attitude towards money can be read in the Secrets of the Millionaire Mind Book.

Aside from our family, our religious beliefs plays an important part on how we manage our money. One of the wrong beliefs we have is:

Wrong Verse: " Money is the root of all evil."

The correct verse is: " “The love of money is the root of evil.” ~ (1 Timothy 6: 10)

We must be reminded that Money itself is not evil. It is the love of money. If we believe that money is evil, subconsciously, we will try to avoid money. If we have money, we will do our best to spend it all as fast as we can.

Aside from the wrong beliefs, we also need to change our psychological wallet. We need to be comfortable with the amount of money we wished to have. Wishing and working for the money are different. If we wished to be a millionaire, we must try to imagine ourselves having this millions on our hands. And start planning how are you going to handle it. After visualization, it is advisable that we pray for it. Then, work for it and one you got it, do what you've plan.

I am not a lotto fan. But imagining having that P14M already excites me. My plan is to give the first fruit to God, invest most of it and share part of it to my family and community.

How about you? What will you do with your Php14M?

To our Financial Freedom!
Each Speaker discussed different topics related to Real Estate.

Bro. Alvin was the first speaker. He discussed the Theology of Money. It sets the mood and mindset of the attendees on the purpose of wealth. He also discussed the strategy he used in acquiring the real estate property where his school is now operating which is the FIND > FUND > FIX > KEEP strategy.

Sir Larry Gamboa was the second speaker. He talked about how he got into real estate and how everyone can be a MAVEN or Expert in REAL ESTATE. He said that ACTION Brings CLARITY. We need to act to get things together.

I was the 3rd Speaker. I related Stock Market and Real Estate. I mentioned why we need to invest in both vehicles. I compared the two side by side based on nine criteria. I also discussed WHAT strategy I used, WHY and HOW I DO IT as shown below.

The fourth speaker was Jay Castillo. His topic is doing the numbers in Real Estate. He gave a CASE STUDY and also showed how to compute the ROI in real life as shown below:

Next was Aya Laraya. He discussed more about Building Wealth in the Stock Market and Citisec's EIP Program which is the better way to go in the stock market than doing market timing.

Maves Angeles was the next speaker. She discussed the Five Ways to Prosper in Real Estate as shown below.

Grace Lucker spoke after Maves and discussed how to stage and rehab an ugly property. She mentioned that a real estate investor shouldn't be afraid to buy ugly houses because it is easy to make them pretty. She also showed pictures of some of her great projects. She also mentioned that looking for a great property, we need to look for the Triple D:

Eden Dayrit spoke next to Grace. She shared her background and how she got into real estate. She mentioned that she went into hiatus for a year to work on some important matter but now that it everything is running smoothly again, she will be back into real estate investing. It was noted that even though Eden went into hiatus for a year, she was able to get by because of the passive income she's getting from her previous real estate investments.

The last part of the Seminar is the Cashlow Board Game which was spearheaded by Ronald Cagape. All the attendees enjoyed the game. I was blessed to be one of the facilitators and also learn strategies from the players. Ronald also announced the launching of his new site (www.SmallDealBlueprint.com).

Without being biased, I can say that the attendees were happy after the seminar based on their written feedback. Being a servant in the TRP seminar for the past few months changed my life. Every now and then, I learned new things. I attended the TRP Seminar May of 2010. It's been almost two years and I am still learning by serving. Every seminar is different not only because of the topics discussed but also because of the people I meet and knowing that in one way or the other we learned from each other. It also gave me a feeling of fulfillment knowing that I was able to be part of the TRP vision of creating millions of Filipinos by 2020. I also want to quote Sir Larry on what he said during the TRP Mastery Academy that " Experts are students first, servant always".

I hope to see you in the Next TRP seminar on June 02,2012. I am not sure if I will be invited to talk again but I am sure that I will still be there to serve by facilitating in the Cashflow Board Game.
Book Review: The Turtle Always Wins
(How to Make Millions in he Stock Market)
Author: Bo Sanchez

Last March 18,2012 after The Feast in PICC, Bro. Bo Sanchez launched his new book about Investing in the Stock Market. It is a follow-up of his book " My Maids invest in the Stock Market".

As you can read from my previous posts, I am also promoting Investing in the Stock Market. The moment I got hold of the book, I couldn't let it off my hands. I started reading it while in the car and finished it at home.

It was a such a great book. I am happy that there are now books available in bookstores discussing Investing in the Stock Market in Layman's Term. The words and stories used by Bo made Investing in the Stock Market simple and understandable.

The book discussed the need to invest and compared the different people found in the Stock Market. Bro. Bo compared them to 4 different animals such as a squirrel, rabbit, sloth and a turtle.

Chapter 1 of the Book (Plant in the Spring or Beg in the Fall) was successful in setting up the mood to convince Filipinos to invest for our retirement. Bo narrated the story of two grandmothers who had different strategies on handling money during their younger years and how it affected their old age.

Lola Penny was a CPA who worked in a company for 38 years. She saved for big expenses but failed to save for her retirement. She relied on her company's retirement package. After retiring, she got 3M. She was not good in handling it so after 7 years, it was totally wiped out. She started depending on her children who also had problems financially. She even heard her daughter complaining to her "kuya" about the money she spent for their mother's medicines. This one really broke her heart.

On the other hand, Lola Pilar worked as a cashier in a music store for 19 years. She got a separation fee of P2000 which she invested in the stock market in 1966. She also put add'l money in the stock market whenever she had extra. She and her husband only invest in giant companies. They sold portions of the investment little by little for big expenses. At age 85, she withdraw everything and got an oozing P 1.2M. She became a millionaire through the stock market.

Bro. Bo emphasized that God gave us a choice and ability to create wealth. If we retire in poverty, it is not God's fault.

In chapter 2, Bro. Bo said that we can be rich. But it would be better if we can take others along to richness. If we follow the turtle strategy, it is not impossible for us to get rich.

Bro. Bo compared Investing in the stock Market with a RACE. The four different People in the Stock Market are the Animal Runners.

In the Story, the Turtle won first place. The Rabbit got the 2nd place. The sloth was 3rd while the squirrel was a no show. No one really knows what happened to him. Some say, he got lost and was killed by a bear.

Squirrel is the Typical Trader.

It represents the newbie who gets into the stock market without understanding what he's getting into. It also represents the old-timer in the stock market. He earns some and loses some. It represents the 85% of people who get into the stock market and lose their money.

They want excitement. They look at their stock portfolio everyday. They buy now and sell a few days later or something within the day. They don't follow the rules and try to take a lot of shortcuts. They are the typical gamblers

Some of them are devious. They fool other traders. They tell their friends to buy a certain hot stock, and when the price goes up, they'll sell and leave their friends an empty bag.

These typical traders can get lost in their trading and get killed by a bear market.

Rabbit is the Trained Trader.

Rabbits are also traders but trained. Trading is their full-time job. They follow very strict rules like:
1. They don't buy penny stocks. Only Giants.
2. They don't put more than 5% of their money in a specific stocks.
3. They never end a trading day with more than 30% of their money in the stock market to avoid surprises. They are still conservative.

Some rabbits break rules once in a while. Temptation is high on the floor. And because of these they only won second place. Because they lose part on their earnings along the way.

Sloth is the Typical Investor.

Sloth is a typical investor who buys and hold. He parks his money in a stock market and forget about it. Usually it's a huge amount of money. One time, Big Time.

According to Bro. Bo, it is a good strategy but not the best. It is recommended but with few conditions mentioned below:
1. You need to have a big chunk of money.
2. You need to buy a basket of great companies that you believe will be great for the next 20 years.
3. You have to buy when the market is down or flat.
4. You got to reinvest the dividends.

Turtle is the Trained Investor.

A Turtle investor does the most boring investment strategy in the world. He invests small amounts of money each month in great companies. He doesn't care is the market is up or down. He invests regularly and puts more money when the market is down.

Their goal is to earn 12% to 20% each year over a 20 year period.

HOW the TURTLE Beats the SLOTH?
- by reinvesting the dividends. Call it compounding.

HOW the TURTLE Beats the RABBIT?
- Rabbits will always be partially invested. Turtles are almost always invested. He can take advantage of the compounding effect.

HOW to FOLLOW the TURTLE?

1. Turtle lives below its means.
- Your expense should grow slower than your income.

2. Turtle builds his farm before his home.
- Secure your livelihood before your lifestyle.
- Establish your income stream before your expense stream.
- The perfect time to invest is when your money is still very scarce.

3. Turtle Invests his windfalls
- Aside from the regular habit of investing 20% of your income, also invest windfalls like bonuses, commissions, cash gifts and profits from side businesses.

4. Turtle Invests when its difficult to invest.
- Build wealth when everyone is afraid.
- Invest even if there are crisis.

5. Turtle Works in Cash Machines, Not Stocks
- You can't invest in the stock market if you don't have a cashflow.
- Spend 99% of your time on your business. Create your cashflow. Increase and Multiply it.
- Then spend 1% of your time investing that cashflow in the stock market.

6. Turtle Believes He'll Win
- You need Wealth Competence but more importantly Wealth Consciousness.
- Mind first then Reality.
LAW#1 You will gravitate towards what you unconsciously desire.
LAW#2 What you can see, you can create. What you cannot see, you cannot create.

The TURTLE has a name. We call him SAM.
SAM is an acronym for Strategic Averaging Method.
It is semi-passive investing
SAM is passive investing with a little bit of "cheating" or "timing".

Five Rules of Passive Investing
1. Invest monthly for 20 years or more.
2. Invest even when there's a crisis.
3. Invest only in giants.
4. Invest in many giants.
5. Buy when the price is beneath our "Buy Below Price". Sell when the price is near our "Target Price"

Three Big Advantages of SAM
1. Faster Giants - Lesser Choices
2. Lower Prices - Buying at cheaper price. Make money when you buy. This prevents chasing a rising stocks.
3. Secured Profits - Lock your profits from a company that gone up and reinvest the proceeds to another company that has still room to grow.

At the end of the book, Bro. Bo invited the readers to become a member of the Truly Rich Club to maximize your earning potential in the stock market. Truly Rich Club Members gets Bro. Bo's Stock Update eReport, Wealth Strategies Newsletter and Stock Alerts.

I am a member of the Truly Rich Club for 2 years now. And it was all worth it. The membership fee I pay monthly is very little compared to the profits and gain I got following Bro. Bo Stock Alerts. I do believe (like the Turtle) that We Can Win if we follow these Rules mentioned in the Book.

I highly recommend this book!!!

Looking back at who he was to who he is now is so inspiring. But according to him, it was all because of his parents. He is a "Product of Unconditional Love". Even though he was failing at school, he never heard his parents telling bad things on him instead they encouraged him to do good. Thus, he encourages all parents to spend more time with their children and bless them instead of telling them words that will offend and destroy them. He also mentioned that " There were NO Bad Children, Only Bad Parents".

It was a short talk. I think it was less than 15 minutes but Edward was able to deliver the message to becoming successful. Everything must be written. Trust God. Love others. Do the work. Give back to God.

A Break Feast is not a typical Feast. We have this every end of a Talk Series. A Break Feast is where we spend more time with the Lord, praising, worshiping Him or just being with Him. The Break Feast last Sunday was made special by the Anointing of the Feast Attendees Hands. This is to receive God's Grace and Bless the works of our Hands.
Ella Gohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17699727844767500105noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6999463752908503894.post-5982262825602188462012-03-02T19:00:00.002+08:002012-03-02T19:08:45.317+08:00Book Review: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv EkerI've already been hearing about T. Harv Eker from the seminars I have attended and maybe people I have meet but never really took attention on him. However, few days after finishing the book "Ang Pera na hindi Bitin", I went to a bookstore looking for another book to read and chanced upon this book of T. Harv Eker. I got curious about the Title and bought it together with another book on Warren Buffet.

I am very glad that I bought this book. It was awakening and very comprehensive. It was divided into 4 parts namely:

a. "Who the Heck is T. Harv Eker and Why Should I Read this Book?"

b. PART ONE: Your Money Blueprint

c. PART TWO: The Wealth Files

d. "So What the Heck Do I Do Now?"

At first, I thought that I gonna be bored reading this book because of the long chapters. But it never happened to me. A had a lot of realization while reading it.

Harv discussed our Money Blueprint, where it came from and how it affects our thoughts, action and attitude towards Money. He also mentioned steps and ways on how can we change our money blueprint for the better.

He also used some mathematical equations which are:

1. T > F > A = R

Thoughts Leads to Fear

Fear Leads to Action

Action Leads to Result

2. CZ = WZ

Comfort Zone equals Wealth Zone. By expanding your comfort zone, you will expand your income and wealth zone.

On part Two of the Book, Harv discussed the Seventeen (17) Ways Rich People Think Differently from Poor and Middle Class People which are:

1. Rich people believe “I create my own life”. Poor people believe “Life happens to me.”

2. Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game not to lose.

3. Rich people are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be rich.

4. Rich people think big. Poor people think small.

5. Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on obstacles.

6. Rich people admire other rich and successful people. Poor people resent rich and successful people.

7. Rich people associate with positive, successful people. Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

8. Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value. Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

9. Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are smaller than their problems.

10. Rich people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor receivers.

11. Rich people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people choose to get paid based on their time.

12. Rich people think “both”. Poor people think “either/or”.

13. Rich people focus on their net worth. Poor people focus on their working income.

14. Rich people manage their money well. Poor people mismanage their money well.

15. Rich people have their money work hard for them. Poor people work hard for their money.

16. Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.

17. Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.

I agree on all of these ways. I haven't mastered all of them but trying my best to correct my thinking. And put into practice all the things I learned because according to Harv, by doing so, we can quickly move to a higher level of life.

We also need to understand the order to success for the Rich which is:

BE > DO > HAVE ~ If I become a successful person, I will be able to do what I need to do to have what I want, including a lot of Money.

I believe that this book must be part of the first books for Financial Literacy because Harv was really successful in bringing out the root cause of our money problems and how can we effectively correct it.

Harv also mentioned some of the great investments we can focus on like Stocks and Real Estate. He even mentioned "Don't Wait to Buy Real Estate. Buy Real Estate and Wait".

Aside from the Rich Ways, there are also parts in the book where we make declarations which are listed below:

Place your hand on your heart and say the following declarations…

“My inner world creates my outer world.”

“ What I heard about money isn’t necessarily true. I choose to adopt new ways of thinking that support my happiness and success.”

“What I modeled around money was their way. I choose my way.”

“ I release my nonsupportive money experiences from the past and create a new and rich future.”

“I observe my thoughts and entertain only those that empower me.”

“I create the exact level of my financial success!”

“My goal is to become a millionaire and more!”

“I commit to being rich.”

“I think big! I choose to help thousands and thousands of people!”

“I promote my value to others with passion and enthusiasm.”

“ I am an excellent receiver. I am open and willing to receive massive amounts of money into my life.”

“I choose to get paid based on my results.”

“I always think ‘both.’ ”

“I focus on building my net worth!”

“I am an excellent money manager.”

“My money works hard for me and makes me more and more money.”

“I am committed to constantly learning and growing.”

Touch your head and say… “I have a millionaire mind!”

Harv believes that these declarations are powerful but this would not give us any result until we ACT. Talk is cheap. Our Action is the one that will count.

I highly recommend this book!!!

If you were not able to read my previous posts, please click these links: Talk 1 and Talk 2.

Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me on this, "says the Lord Almighty," and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Talk 3 is about Tithing. Bro. Bo described Tithe as a starting point of grateful giving. It is like a training wheels of a children bicycle. We need to start with this training wheels before we can go on our own. In the beginning, GOD gave us everything we need and He is only asking for 10%.

Bro. Bo simplified the Topic by telling a story about a beggar and a rich man. Once there was a Beggar who met a Rich Man. The beggar asked for money but the rich man didn't want to just give him money, instead he made an agreement with the beggar that he will give the beggar products to sell and a place where he can sell the product. The beggar can't believe this great blessing and agreed with the rich man to meet after 30days. He only needs to give 10% of the sales to the rich man. The beggar had a good sale and after 30 days he was still awed with the huge money on his hand. While trying to set aside the 10% for the rich man, a part of him felt that it is not fair to give the 10% to the Rich Man because he did all the hard work and he didn't even see the rich man in the past 30 days.

We are compared to this beggar. And the rich man is God. God asked for only 10% but sometimes we feel that it was not fair to give 10% to God because we did all the hard work. But the truth is, everything we have is from him.

Many people thought that Tithing was an Old Testament thing. But Bro. Bo explained that it is never omitted in the New Testament. The Old Testament says 10% and The New Testament says: give based on how grateful you are.

Malachi 3:9
Dare a man rob God? Yet you are robbing me! And you say, "How do we rob you?" In tithes and in offerings!

The Bible verse above also said that we are robbing God if we don't give our tithes. God is encouraging us to give. Give More so that we may Receive More. Let us allow the flow of blessing because by this, we also allow the flow of generosity.

Tithing is similar to breathing. If we inhale, we have to exhale. If we eat, we need to defecate.

Bro. Bo also sited the difference of the Sea of Galilee, Jordan River and Dead Sea. Life is about giving. Life is present to the Sea of Galilee and Jordan River because they are giving. Sea of Galilee gives water to Jordan Riven while Jordan River gives Water to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea gives water to no one. This is the reason why no life is seen in the Dead sea.

God encourages us to give big. Be the Best Giver. Not for us but for God because we have a Big and Generous God.

Bro. Bo also tries to answer three of the most commonly asked questions:

1. Where should we give our Tithes?

It should be given to the community that nourishes us that it may also nourish more people.

2. Should our Tithe be based on Gross or Net?

We need to decide whether we want our blessing to be based on our Gross or Net.

3. Can the financial help we give to our relatives be considered tithes?

No. These are alms.

To summarize, Tithing is a discipline God gave us to test our generosity. The more we empty ourselves, the more we opened ourselves to God's blessings.

May God continue to shower us with blessings as we learn to give more than 10% of what truly belongs to Him.

I was able to buy few company stocks from her savings.

Her savings account was opened few months after her baptism. We put all the money gifts given to her in that savings account including the money we got from selling her old stuffs.

I know you have a lot of questions in your mind. Let me answer them now.

Why invest rather than keep it in the bank?

Saving in a bank is good for accumulation only but not for appreciation due to very minimal interest that it offers.

Bank offers a guaranteed interest of 0.5% to 3% p.a. only

Stock Market doesn't offer any guaranteed interest but money growth is averaging at 10% p.a.

To generate future purchasing power and keep ahead of inflation which is averaging at 7%.

My daughter will not be needing the money in the years to come.

Why in Stock Market?

History has proven that investing in stocks over the long term provides greater returns and protection against inflation compared to other investment vehicles.

Better gain if done correctly. Investing rather than trading.

More Control on what company to buy rather than getting a Mutual Funds which are also investing in the stock market.

Lesser commission charges. Commission is only charged upon buying and selling of stocks. Whereas in the Mutual Funds or other Managed funds, you were charged a certain management fee every year or every month depending on the Company.

You own a Business without the headache. You share with their success but also share with their losses (Stock Value).

Aside from the expected gain (capital appreciation), some companies give DIVIDENDS. This is a tiny part of the company's profit.

My husband and I agreed not to get an educational plan for my daughter due to the recent troubles encountered by the customers of Pre-need Companies. According to some report, about 29 other pre-need companies may end up like Prudential Plans Inc. We have already created a plan on how to maximize our investments to cater for both our retirement and educational plan of our daughter. With our computation, we can get her tuition fee from the earnings of her stock investments. Our plan is to invest every month on our daughters account. If in the future, we can manage not to touch our daughter's investment for her tuition fees, she will end up a multimillionaire. And if she continue investing in her account once she is already capable, she will be a billionaire at age 70. That is if she will not increase the amount that we are previously putting in her account. In case she will, she will be a billionaire earlier than 70 years old.

So far, this is our plan. Let's accumulate wealth and be a Blessing to Many!

To our Financial Freedom! Cheers!
